Leonard Jewelry opened in 1964 in downtown Stillwater as a watch and clock repair shop. Owned and operated by John and Earlene Leonard, the repair business grew and expanded into jewelry. It quickly outgrew the tiny space on 8th Street and moved to Main Street in 1975. The store developed into a full-time jewelry, watch and gift store.

In 1985, the Leonard's retired. Kent and Annette Kinzie purchased the store, but maintained the Leonard Jewelry name and history. Located in the heart of Stillwater, Leonard Jewelry is on Main Street inside Kinzington Kourt with several other businesses, including Cowboy Bob's Discount Golf, Vestige (a Fossil boutique), The Salon for Hair and Nails, and Red Rock Bakery and Deli.
